In April, DH and I only. Live in Surrey and want to go to buzzy city for the weekend and do stuff that can't normally do with dcs around (if drink cocktails in the day, go to museums/galleries etc that are not just kid focussed).

Would you recommend and if so where to stay?

There are some very nice places to eat and interesting galleries to look at here. Broad street is madness at night with clubs/bars but if you want dancing etc then that's the place. There are hotels that do afternoon tea or there is a gin bar that does cocktails served in mini baths or buckets. If you'd like more info then I'll happily do some links in a PM if you'd like.

I really love Brum as a city - fab place Smile. Museums and art gallery excellent, as is the new library.

I live in Birmingham. Tbh though, I'd far rather go to Liverpool or London.

God, yes, london much nicer than Brum! I've been and no, I'd not recommend Brum.

Wouldn't recommend! Prefer london or Edinburgh or brighton
