Whoop, we're off to Anaheim on Friday staying at Knotts Berry Farm Hotel. 3 Day pass to Disney.

Any tips? Recommendations of where to eat (in Disney or otherwise)? Been looking at House of Blues, any good?

Any tips taken on board Smile

Visited Disney Anaheim twice in 2011 and once in 2013. We accepted that we had to buy some meals in Disney and so we bought lunch for three and then shared it among five! However, we always went straight to a restaurant after we left the park for the day! ( Also visited Knotts Berry Farm twice but its food is pretty basic and we were hugely disappointed by their meal deal all inclusive park ticket.)

My kids love the Native Foods Cafe which has three locations in Orange County and is about 15-20 minutes drive away. www.nativefoods.com I think the one in Tustin will be the nearest. it's actually a veggie restaurant but the food is amazing and so are the cupcakes and the drinks. You can look at the menus online and in fact you can for a huge number of restaurants so you can do your research before you go if you have time!

However there are literally hundreds of places you can just turn up. Our base for our trips has been Santa Ana/ Tustin / Costa Mesa so we tended to look around there rather than next to the park. Our favourite places are where you can get sushi so mostly Japanese but we were introduced to a Hawaiian takeaway which was excellent. Basically we seek out what we can't get at home!

Have a great trip.
