USA fingerprint checks

Posted the other day about partner getting arrested just under two weeks before we go to Florida. Just rang the travel company they have said there isn't enough time to apply for a visa so he either doesn't go or he risks being turned away at the USA airport and sent home. Obviously they fingerprint everyone upon entry... So will his records flag up? She said they don't question everyone they do random checks on people so everything could be fine? Wasn't arrested for anything serious and nothing else will come of it.

Not got any info on this but I'd start by googling US customs and homeland security and the ESTA website and see where that takes me... although I'm sure you have already...

Have you though of calling the US Embassy in London and see where they direct you?

Not sure what else to suggest.

I googled it, and various freedom of information requests regarding what is shared.

information IS shared but only when there is suspicion of a problem. He is travelling falsely on the ESTA, but it may not be noticed. They may do a random check. He may look suspicious so a check could be done. Or not.

IF it is noticed, he will be turned away and won't be visiting again.

So those are the possible consequences for you to assess.

you said he was drunk and disorderly (If I have the right thread?) which is quite serious. If he does that in America they will then check and he will be in very deep shit indeed.
