Which Tunisian resort?

Mainly looking at port El kantaoui or Hammamet, but open to others.

Would like a top end hotel with nearby restaurants/ shops.
Any other tips would also be great.

Have been to hammamet a few times but we haven't ventured out too much so not sure if there is a great selection of bars and restaurants as all the big hotels now seem to be AI. Beach is gorgeous.

We went to port el kantoui to a 5 star hotel but it was dreadful - more like a 2 star international rating.

I wouldn't go to Tunisia unless it was an interesting chain hotel and had top ratings on trip advisor
