How long do you stop for each time? Does the engine ever have time to warm up properly? If not it'll be using a lot!

Well the C3 would average 9 miles per litre around town. Given the stop/start would assume that you're burning a litre for the while trip.

I only stop for about 5-10 mins.
How much is a litre of petrol.Im so sorry Im dead thick about stuff like this-SIMPLE

Depends where you are, but I'm currently paying 84p per litre.

mum2oliver · 20/10/2006 22:24

It seems like Im using so much more than that in fuel.

Is there anyway I can find out?
I go so many other places in a day aswell.

I have a feeling that when an engine is cold and running on choke it uses something like twice as much as the average figures, so you could be using more like 2 litres for your 3 short trips - maybe £1.50.

LadyMuck · 20/10/2006 22:33

Well presumably you could just keep a tab of the mileage next time you fill up? If you then keep track of how many miles until you fill up the next time, you can work out how much it is costing you.

Thankyou for your time.
