Group holiday in the UK help

We are a group of 9, made up of 6 adults and 3 kids ( almost 2,7& 9 ) and just want a long weekend together in the UK . Ideally equal travelling distance from sussex and Cheshire. We are looking to go end of July/August and trying to avoid Center Parcs as some of the party already have a week booked there end of August!
Can anyone think of anywhere suitable? We just want somewhere where the kids can have fun during the day, and then the adults sit at night and catch up and relax. I can't believe how difficult we are finding it to find somewhere!

school holidays are always tough but more so this year because of the gove changes to holidays in term time. even the places we have been to for years are booked out. you will really struggle to find a weekend away in school hols now. your best bet might be a caravan park like Haven as they may still be doing weekends. but generally anyone with self catering will be looking for and booking out for a week.

Have you considered a youth hostel... Many have been revamped and they cater for all ages

Problem with cars plan is all fitting in one in the evening!

Thanks, we've just bitten the bullet and gone with Center Parcs!
