Crawling spaces in London

Hi. This is my first mumsnet post . I'm a London based mum, heading into town this weekend - Oxford St, etc - and was wondering if anyone can recommend any good crawling spaces for my 10 month old? He gets miserable if he's in his pushchair all afternoon. Thanks for your help in advance.

Welcome!
I can't really help, but thought I should say hello. I'm not sure Oxford Street is great for crawling really. The toy department at John Lewis is probably safe enough for a while.

In selfridges (in the 4th Floor restaurant) there is a children's play area so you can have a nice cup of tea (or glass of wine!) and allow baby to crawl around. Have a lovely day.

Thanks for those suggestions. They are great. I was ill all this weekend with a stomach bug so we're planning the shopping trip next weekend instead. Was thinking we might pop into the National Gallery for a crawl around, or somewhere like that. It's so tricky to find somewhere safe, interesting, not totally crowded.
