Booking flights - am I getting this all wrong?

Am trying to book flights from either Cardiff to Toulon, maybe Bristol to Toulon. I google, but I'm not seeing a very straightforward way of doing this. Ideally, I'd like to see which airports have these destinations, but it doesn't seem an easy task.

Am i getting something fundamentally wrong here??

Have you tried looking at the Cardiff and Bristol airport website? They should have a destination list that will tell you which airline flies where. Sorry if that's an obvious step that you've already tried!
Alternatively you could try Skyscanner and do a search on there?

Actually, according to the Toulon airport website, the only flights to the UK are to London:

Easyjet fly from Bristol to Marseille if that's any good?

There should be far more flights to nice or maybe marseille. Toulon airport very small - Nice not far.
