I am going to NY for a long weekend at the end of March with a friend. I've been before and done top of the rock, central park, Statue of Liberty etc and as it's without kids, I'd like to see the Met Museum. Any other places that I should catch? Looking forward to wandering round neighbourhoods too, not keen on shopping big American brands (I live in Texas and they're all here too) but would appreciate tips on NY boutiques or quirky haunts.
