7-9 night honeymoon - where would you go?

Hi All, we're planning on having our honeymoon in October/November this year. We were hoping to maybe do Las Vegas/Hawaii or Las Vegas/Mexico but not sure if we have the budget for it which is about £3500 so wondering if anyone has any suggestions? Ideally we'd like all inclusive so we wouldn't have to worry about food/drink costs while we are there and a varied choice of things to do.... anyone have any ideas?!

Cape Verde, Morocco

I suggest Antigua or st Lucia.
No direct flights from UK to Hawaii so not will spend a lot of time travelling for a 7-9 night holiday

Definitely Mexico. Our honeymoon at the Riviera Maya was absolute heaven.

Maldives is just gorgeous & perfect for honeymooning couples.

...but make sure you like what there is to do on the Maldives, you may find it very restrictive.

Hawaii is too far for this short trip.

remember jabs, possibly tabs and DEET for all the hot places.

enjoy.

Where did you stay McFox? Any tips that you could share? We are thinking Mexico at the moment, and have been suggested the Silversands Riviera but the beach is getting some bad reviews which is putting me off!

Why not try something different and interesting that you will really remember? We have met honeymoon couples in South Africa and Argentina recently! Maybe this costs too much but South Africa's Garden route would be lovely. I would also consider driving from San Francisco to LA down Highway 1. Or look at San Diego and drive North to LA.

If money no object, a private yacht sailing around the British Virgin Islands. Total bliss!

We stayed at the Excellence Playa Mujeres on the recommendation of someone at First Choice. We called up to book another resort and she said that the Playa Mujeres was better all round. It was total luxury, I couldn't fault a single thing!

October/November is hurricane season in the Caribbean. You'd Be unlikely to actually get caught in a hurricane but it might be wet and/or windy and there'll be loads of mosquitos.
I'd go to Mauritius. We had lovely weather there in October and it's very honeymoony with lots of good all inclusives but there's more to do than the Maldives. Also you won't get jet lag which may be important if you only have 7-9 days.
If you want to go to Las Vegas/beach I'd combine it with a closer beach, somewhere in California to avoid too much travelling.

agree mauritius is fabulous and higher standard than many Caribbean or Mexican hotels much as I love those too!

You get much more value for your money in Thailand

Mexico is more expensive
