Hi, can anyone recommend any nice B&bs for us to stop overnight in on the way to La Rochelle in the Summer? We will be travelling via channel tunnel. I know about IBIS hotels etc but I fancied a nice little B&B and make it part of the holiday. Obvs somewhere family friendly :-)
Thank you

We stayed in a lovely B&b on the way to La Rochelle. It's www.lalunelake.co.uk. Very friendly owners, family room sleeping four, splash pool in garden and they provided a wonderful dinner and breakfast.

La Ferme du Vert in Calais is lush...we had one of the best meals ever there, very authentic & semi rural so great with DCs...

We stayed at the Novatel in Rouen. It's a big British used stopover. Secure car park and good local restaurants. It's good value for money too.
We have stayed there 4 times and we've not had a bad experience.
It's not particularly pretty but it's functional.

We drove from Yorkshire too.

thanks for all your replies. I looked in to them all. legoqueen - I especially love the look of La Ferme du Vert but it is booked, as is lalunelake! How organised are people these days!! I thought that I was organised but I am nothing compared to some people. Anyway, I have ended up booking a lovely looking bed and breakfast close to the Channel tunnel in Kent. Thanks again
