Hotel in Helsinki

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Helsinki for 2 adults and 2 DC aged 16 and 13? We need 1 double and 2 single beds, or 4 singles, breakfast included and central location, for around £250 for 2 nights. Found a few options online but there seems to be a discrepancy over whether 16 year old is an adult or child so I'm nervous about clicking the 'book' button. Thanks.

I think the problem is that not only your 16 year old is classed as an adult, your 13 year old will be too. I did however find this one with a room for 4 adults (double plus sofa bed) at £238. It's a little bit further from the centre but still walkable and is a good chain (i've stayed ina couple of their hotels but not this one).

Plus you get breakfast for the price which is great as food is quite expensive in Finland.

Thanks OldBean, I had looked at this one myself as it's near the harbour and we're sailing to Stockholm at the end of our visit so it would have been ideal, but we really don't want to share beds with the DC as they're too big and we have one of each so they can't share with each other! I'll keep looking.

Can't help with a hotel but seeing your post reminded me of the great time we had at Helsinki zoo when we were there last year. You go on a boat trip to an island, beautiful zoo with huge enclosures, not overly commercial like some but just beautiful and peaceful, lots of information abut the fantastic conservation work they do. Have a good trip.

Thank you, we're really looking forward to it - couple of nights in Helsinki, Overnight ferry to Stockholm for a couple of nights then flight to Bergen for a week. We'll be living on baked beans for the rest of the year but worth it I'm sure!
