Victoria Hotel Holkam - anyone been?

Thinking about booking the East Triumphal arch for a very special weekend break -- has anyone been ?? getting mixed reviews about the hotel?

Knackered - keep bumping this, or search the archives under travel because there are MN-ers who have posted about it before - all recommendations, afaik!

I have never been inside, but it is oposite my favourite beach in the whole world!

We stayed at the Cuckoo Lodge for a couple of nights for our honeymoon. Loved it. They leave you a fridge full of gorgeous stuff to make your breakfasts with.

The pub is also great, but although the food is wonderful, the resturant itself is a bit ordinary.
