Looking for ideas of where to go for a short break in the summer hols with a friend, between us we have 3 Dds who will be 13, 12 and 10. Possibly Monday to Friday, so max of 4 nights. Neither of us keen to drive abroad.

Children happy with beach, or city musuem type holidays done both before.

You don't specify what type of accommodation, what type of holiday, what you might like to do, so write a bit more and am sure people will then respond.
You could look at Youth Hostels, or camping (in a mobile home or pod - these are great!)

Looking for all ideas - pretty much open to most things. As a family were spending two weeks in our campervan so not camping.

In the past we've done city breaks wth our DHs and DDs to New York, Praque, then done trips to Disneyland Paris, Malta and various cottage holidays in the UK. All very different holidays, This will be our first break just the girls.

Hadn't considered Youth Hostelling but will have a look. Had one thought about maybe going to Bristol to hunt the Gromits which will be scattered about the city.

Scotland, Edinburgh maybe? Depends on your budget really.
