Child seats on Virgin Atlantic

There is an option to request a child seat for our toddler which looks like a big car seat. I can't decide if it would be better to have that so we can strap her in when required or to have more space and be able to lie her down along the seats.

Anyone any experience please?

I find more space and the ability to lie down is better

You can request it but you aren't guaranteed it btw. We found this out when we booked it a few years back. We did however get given it, it was on DD's seat but we decided to go without it in the end. She was far more comfortable in a big seat that she could fidget around on, and yes easier to almost stretch out completely and sleep.
