What are the good websites or best days to travel? Would happily fly anywhere within a couple of hours drive of Boston.

You cannot fly anywhere within a couple of hours drive from Boston if you fly from the uk. Check out BA or AA or other transatlantic carriers via a website such a Trailfinders. You are better off flying direct to Boston as it is only 6.5 hours.

KLM/Northwest used to fly at reasonable fares. There's nowhere else to fly into really, unless you did one of the New York airports then connected up but it'd take an age, be a hassle, and end up no cheaper.

Skyscanner!

Sta too. You don't have to be under 25

I flew to Boston from heathrow with delta in June, and it was fine, about £400 return.

thanks - had a quick look without posting and was coming out at £800 er person (four of us).

Is NYC generally cheaper than Boston to fly to?

ebookers are good but make sure you remove your cookies each time you search. otherwise the imbedded info is used to up the price each time. what are your preferred dates?

No, NYC is not generally cheaper than Boston to fly into and infact may be more expensive.

Northwest still exist but have merged with Delta.

Departing between Monday to Wednesday may also keep the cost down but tbh the days of cheap fares in the style of Freddie Laker to the US are long gone.

I would have a look at websites like Skyscanner or Kayak to see if they have any deals. Alternatively see what BA and Virgin are charging. You would in any event be better off flying direct into Boston rather than some outlying airport.

Are Lingus are cheapest ATM. Don't expect anything flashy but they are reliable.
You have to fly via Dublin or Shannon but you can fly from several UK regional airports avoiding Heathrow.
The huge advantage is that you clear US Immigration In IRELAND saving up to two hours queuing at Boston airport upon arrival when you are tired.

We travel regularly to the USA. Where are you planning to go once you have got there ?
