We have booked to go to Spain this summer when dd will be 1yr old exactly. Particularly interested in what to take re car seats, food, info on drinking the water etc... We are staying at a 5* resort (have remortgaged house after several years with no holiday!). It has babysitting service (but still nervous about leaving her with anyone).
Any advice would be very welcome. ??

You've got to be kidding, remortgaged the house to go to a 5* resort in Spain?
I would cancel and do it on a budget, Spain can be great fun on the cheap.

You will need a car seat and the hire car companies are a massive rip off. We have never had any problems with food or tap water in Spain but if you're worried, sell the car and buy bottled water.

The Spanish will be much more welcoming of children in restaurants so pawn a kidney and eat out as much as you can.

Travel high chair - for restaurants/beach bars etc. I'd imagine the resort would have most of what you'll need...
I find Ellas pouches handy, powder formula if need be, plenty of sun lotion, changes of clothes... Milton wipes etc!
