Hellooooo, save my sanity please and tell me what's going on in the area, for my 3yr old ds, over the coming half term. And where do you find these things out?!

Hi Schmooze,

This is a bit late for half term but might help for next time! I live in Surbiton so I'm also always on the look out for stuff to do with small kids. Kingston council will send an excellent brochure which includes nursery schools etc but also has lots of listings for activities, soft play centres and the like. Another good place to try is the local libraries, they often have story telling mornings and you can pick up the free 'family fun' type magazines which have lots of ads for stuff to do with kids. My other fall back is the good old National Trust becasue there are lots of them round here and I get really good value out of my card. We go for lunch, a run round and to feed the ducks if we can find any. Its a bit cold for them at the mo though. As a final thought, the New Malden centre do kids activities and have a play centre session and there's a nice 'Arts' cafe in Hampton on Station road. Syon Park also have a big play area called Snakes and Ladders which I find a bit frantic but the kids love! Hope this helps.
