Anyone know the Tetbury area?

My FIL has a place there and we are taking the girls for a long weekend during half term.

My FIL can recommend antique shops, churches, posh restaurants etc but not too hot on things to do for kids.

Doesn't all have to be in Tetbury itself, have car, willdrive and all that.

Any ideas / tips etc?

I grew up in Cirencester, which is quite nearby. There's the Cotswold Wildlife Park in Burford which is very nice (although zoo-type prices); Bourton on the Water which has a bird park, model village, train museum etc; a rare breeds farm at South Cerney which my mum has taken DD to. Ummm - I love going to the Organic Farm Shop which is near Cirencester and has farm trails and a lovely coffee shop. What sort of thing do you like doing?

There's a trout farm in Bibury where you can feed the fish - obviously won't keep you busy all day but is quite fun for kids.

Westonbirt Arboretum is nice for wandering in if the weather is nice.

Bristol's within easy driving range and is full of stuff for kids.

Agree about the Cotswold Wildlife Park being great. I was a bit disappointed with the Costwold Farm Park but many seem to really like it -- there are other visitable farms in the area though.

I'm in Tetbury !
Not alot iself here for children-apart from a park.
Westonbirt arboretum is fantastic for walks and climbing trees etc.The autumn colours are fantastic this time of year too.
Theres a leisure centre in Cirencester 15 mins away, and a soft play place called Magic Land if the weathers crap!.
Further afield theres @bristol,or in Stroud there is bowling and a cinema complex.
Cotswold wildlife park is great but about 30 minutes away.
