Just flown Turkish Airlines... or nearly flown Turkish Airlines to Kathmandu. Currently stranded in Istanbul for 24 hours with a seven-month old boy. Not a promising start to our family move out there.
Turkish Airlines were late arriving, and set off two hours (?!) early to Kathmandu, so our three hour transit time disappeared in the flick of an administrator's keyboard.
Ataturk Airport is busy, rude, and bizarrely has no Turkish Airlines staff (customer relations seems to have been outsourced).
What a shame. Spent the morning buying a visa, trekking around Istanbul looking for formula, clothes (cold here in November), and waiting...
