Where to stay for 36 hours in Singapore with 2 DC

Travelling to NZ for a long hol in feb with 2 DC (2 yo, 4 yo). We have a 36 hour stop over in Singapore. Looking to get out of the airport complex but need easy connections and something to do in the day nearby. I'm told Signapore is well set up for stop overs so hoping to have the hotel room for more than just a night so we can shower etc before getting an evening flight again. Help and recommendations appreciated x

There aren't many hotels that allow 4 people to share in Singapore, so may be trickier than you think. We stayed at Holiday Inn Orchard rd. Central location, good hotel for kids and the pool is nice. No idea about late check out though

Orchard area- if you're interested in shopping. Marina Mandarin hotel is nearer Marina Bay and there's loads to do around that area. It's very easy to get around Singapore city centre on foot, MRT or bus. They do late check-out. There are lots of other hotels in the area too. Most hotels have family rooms.

YHA has family rooms, breakfast, nice rooftop pool. In a good area and a decent price. I have stayed there twice, with DH and son.

And if you cant get late check out there are excellent shower facilities at airport.
Cant remember where exactly but there is a lovely butterfly garden in the airport somewhere that the kids will love.
