Interrailing with a 7yo and a 5yo?

I really want to make a big plan for next summer- something exciting with just me and the kids (separated from exH 8 months ago)

Would interrailing around Europe with a 7yo and a 5yo for a month be a really crazy idea? Or perhaps, as I speak Spanish, just travelling around Spain?

Anyone done anything similar?

My dad used to work for British Rail and enjoyed travel concessions in Europe as a result. When I was a child we always travelled across Europe by train to go on holiday. Although there were two parents not one. I think you might need to pack something to keep the children from being bored on longer journeys.
