Where to stay between Orlando and Miami

We have two nights before our return flight from Miami with 2 DC.
Where should we stay and what should we do?

have a look at a multi map and you will see that it isn't actually that far to drive between the two. so working on this basis, I would book a hotel in Miami itself and have some beach time.

Fort Lauderdale, west palm beach?

The drive up took around three hours.

Fort Lauderdale it is. Fingers crossed the sun comes out!

I would also suggest Fort Lauderdale and they have a great science museum there for your children too. Las Olas Blvd is also a nice shopping area.
