Got back from holiday from Cananda on SUnday evening and went to bed at about 10pm.
Monday Morning - Woke at 3am and read until 6am and then went to sleep till 11am!
Last night was a nightmare .... woke at 3am and finally got up at 6am ... I am on my knees ...
both kids just got up now - it's 11am ... lucky bu**ers !!
Have done all the ironing and feel like death now ... what am I supposed to do to crack this and get my body clock back into some sort of order ....
Is a nap permitted

Thanks

try and get a afternoon nap in if possible also soak in a bath with some lavender to help relax the body before going to bed it should send youinto a deeper sleep to help you sleep till morning

Seriously - are naps allowed ... I thought that sleeping during the day would make me think that I am still in Canada time and therefore make it harder to get back to normal?
True or false
Still in my jammies .... might do for a bath now !

at the moment your body is trying to reajust to thedifferent time zones so just a short nap and a long soak should help you relax for a good nights sleep because at the moment your body is over tired so it needs to get over the over tiredness before you can start resting properly my parents travel alot and that is the first thing they useualy do when they get home

Off for a bath - now - promise - too much surfing !!

Might have a small nap ( tell the kids only to wake me if the police call at the door )

IMHO Do whatever you can to stay up and gets lots of light during the day - also try not to sleep in till 11am. Maybe even try setting the alarm to get up an hour or so earlier each day until you are 'back in the zone'. Try do do all those relaxing things in the evening just before bed.

I've had lots of experience with jet lag. Best thing to do is just try to get in the time zone - don't necessarily go with what feels natural - 'cause that's in the other time zone.

Hope some of this helps

Doesn't help you this time around - but I do UK/Canada quite regularly and find the jet lag is not as bad with overnight flights. Also try to adjust watches etc as soon as get on the plane and stick to the new time zone while flying. Got back Monday this time, a bit groggy Tuesday morning, but over it after a couple of cups of coffee once the Caffeine cut in.
