Blackpool but no illuminations!

My DH has booked us a night away (me, him and our 3 year old DD) in Blackpool to see the lights. However he has just discovered the lights finish the week before! We are unable to change to date so looks like we're going!

We are driving up Friday afternoon and coming home on Saturday. Any ideas for things to do? Our DD loves swimming but he has also just informed me that the Sandcastle swimming place is also shut!

Blackpool Tower usually has plenty going on; there's always the Pleasure Beach (better for older kids really); not sure about the Sandcastle being shut (it's usually all-year round, unless it was damaged by recent weather?). There are a few hotels with swimming pools for non-residents (the De Vere, which is near Blackpool Zoo) and Stanley Park is nice to wander round on a decent day.
A little further afield, around 15 mins drive away is Ribby Hall, (I live round the corner!) It's got a great pool, soft-play area, Starbucks, Pizza restaurant, outdoor play area, etc.
Let me know if you need any more info!

The Sandcastle is open weekends only after next week.

There is also Jungle Jims soft play in Blackpool Tower

Blackpool zoo will be open. Not sure about the Pleasure Beach as I thought that shut for winter.

Plenty of beaches/parks to go to at Lytham, Cleveleys, Fleetwood.

Freeport shopping at Fleetwood.

Thank you for all the suggestions!! We're going to drive to Blackpool today (just for the day) so we can see the lights and then we'll do all the other things when we come to stay in a couple of weeks.

Yes Sandcastle is open at the weekend so we'll go there before we leave on the Saturday.
