Tower of London - pushchair yey or ney?

I am hoping to go to the Tower of London with my DD1 (4.10 ) and DD2 (2.0), one day in half term. My parents would also be with us, and although they are well enough to manage the days' walking, and keep an eye on DD1, they would not be able to carry DD2. They also get a bit anxious in London.

We would like to see the poppies and Crown Jewels, and possibly more if we have time and energy.
We would have to travel across London from Kings Cross, and I am wondering if a pushchair is going to be more of a nuisance than help. DD2 would have to go in a sling for some of it if we didn't bring it. How much of the Tower site is accessible? (Guessing ancient castle will have some accessibility issues).
Could anyone give tips to help make the day run smoothly please ?
