Any Longleat tips please?

Taking the kids (5 and 9) to Longleat on Thursday. I would prefer to do the safari on the Longleat bus, any idea where I go to book? Any other tips greatly received.

Hi, not been for ages but would just say make sure you check the website as they often do v good discount vouchers...and it can be quite expensive!

Was there last. Week for the excellent festival of light.

Was about £25 for adults and £20 for kids

Get there well before two to be sure you don't miss the safari. We got some great pics of the animals . Particularly the monkey trying to break off the windscreen wiper.

Don't miss the bat cave. Amazing experience.

Don't miss the trip round the house after dark. It's one of the cosiest stately homes I've been too.

The lights come on at 4-30 but that's when we did the house.

It was an excellent day out. I particularly liked all the safari animals shown in silk lanterns on the lawn. Very clever and very beautifully done. The Chinese pagoda was also very beautiful.
