What else to do near Science Museum

Hi, in London for a few days over half term and going to the science museum on one of the mornings. Will get there for opening time, assuming we will be ready to leave for lunch so looking for suggestions on where to go after for food and other things to see/do. DS is 6. We did a similar trip 2, years ago and did the Natural History Museum and then the Princess Diana park so would like to do something different from then. Thanks

Ride on the top decker of the bus into Westminster to see Parliament / Buckingham Palace

Thanks, did Harrods last time (DH hated it!) might look at getting the bus to Buckingham Palace as not done that,

South bank, cruise down Thames or London eye or London aquarium
Trafalgar Square, St James park, buck house
Tower of London

Thanks, thinking we might go and see the poppies at the Tower of London.
