Natural History Museum, Oct half term with a 4yo - is it worth it?

I lived in London for many years pre-children so hoping to start visiting some of the things I missed out on.

Am taking DS to visit family an hour from London (we are coming from France) and noted our dates coincide with half term. I am wondering if it is too much hassle to take DS to NHM this trip (queing etc, and perhaps he is too young?)

advice please?!

The history museum is great for 4 year olds. However half term is horrid, 1-2hr long ques to get in and super busy inside

So I would say don't go. If a different week would have said def go though

I will try and take him on a future trip.
