Disney hotels walking distance to resort

Hi. We are planning on going to Disney world Orlando next year. We have an 18 month old so we want to stay somewhere we can walk out with the buggy at night. Can you help with where is best to stay? Looking at 4 stars minimum.

We have stayed at the swan and Dolphin twice for this reason, you can walk or get a paddle boat to both Epcot and Hollywood studios. There is also Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach club in the same area.

Love the beach club and boardwalk. You can also walk from the contemporary into Magic kingdom - which is fab after fireworks.

The monorail goes through the contemporary resort. When I was a kid I thought this made it the most desirable hotel in the world
