Visiting 10yr old in Suffolk - weeknights fun???

I've my daughters friend visiting from Finland next week and my daughter obviously is in school all weekdays. We've filled the weekend chock-a-block full as that's the only time anything is open.
But please suggest something we might do on the weeknights after school! Or even weekdays, as it's not halfterm, not much is open. Not even shopping is much of an alternative except for weekdays, as shops close by 6 around here... We live close to A140 between Stowmarket and Eye in Suffolk.
Somewhere around Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Diss, & Stowmarket?

Of course the girls will just want to be by themselves after a long separation, too.

Apparently you can go tobaganning at the dry ski slope in Ipswich after school. If never done it but a friend did last week.

Yes the dry ski slope is open on week nights but I think there is a minimum number for tobogganing. Although being from Finland she may be used to real snow! How about bowling or laser tag?
