Disneyland Paris - Cheyenne or Sequoia?

We are planning going to Disneyland Paris next summer with our 3 dc's who will be 6, 3 and 11 months. Just trying to decide whether we should stay at the cheaper Cheyenne or at the Sequoia? The Sequoia appeals to me more as it has a pool and is a bit closer to parks - anyone got any opinions?

I've booked Sequoia based on nicer looking rooms and pool but don't go until next year so that isn't really much help for you! If you were taking a car, Camp Wilderness or what ever they call the Paris one looked really good.

Are you also buying the food package? For Seq they recommend the plus but for Cheyenne its basic as the Seq restaurant is more expensive. Don't know if that makes any difference to you - I wanted the plus dining anyway for the extra options.

Sequoia! Much nicer than cheyenne and closer to the park.

I've been to Sequoia and Santa Fe - first time around we did the cheapest Santa Fe but it was a hassle as it was too far for the dc to walk (then 6 and 3) and still have enough energy to wander around the park without flaking out (especially the 3 yr old).

Second time (8 & 5) we stayed in Sequoia - enjoyed it more, were able to walk in when it suited us, we never made it to the pool despite our good intentions though! Rooms were a bit nicer, breakfast was better, and the meet the characters was better (once we discovered it after we'd missed it for two days!).

We didn't do the food packages - got a cheap McDonalds or sandwich for lunch, then often popped down to the shopping centre for meals (a mile away, we had the car so drove but the train goes there too or there's a shuttle bus) and either ate at the restaurants there (much cheaper than in the park) or bought picnic food at the massive hypermarket and brought it back to eat at the hotel - downside was that there was no fridge in our room so couldn't do a big shop and keep it fresh for several days. Plus we all enjoyed looking at the french shops and life outside of disney too!

We went to the Sequoia Lodge in February this year with our children who were then 8, 5 and 23 months. It was an ideal location, and a lovely hotel. I emailed beforehand to request a room on a low floor and close to reception. We were given room 2181 which was about a 30 second walk from reception! I'd read that the hotel was quite big, so didn't want a massive walk along the corridors and couldn't be bothered with waiting for lifts all the time with the pushchair.

I've never stayed at the Cheyenne, but the things that would 'put me off' are the bunk beds for the children, the 'free for all' seating at breakfast (at the Sequoia they show you to a table) and the fact that I've read that this hotel (and the Santa Fe) are the ones most used by group bookings (like schools, Brownies etc).

The Sequoia is close enough that you could walk back there in the the middle of the day easily. We only did this one day though, when we'd all just got a bit too wet and cold. We never made it to the pool, I thought we would if the weather was bad (we had 4 nights/5 days there so we'd not have felt we were wasting time that we could have been spending in the parks - 5 days was plenty to see everything) but we got lucky and only had that one morning of rain.

There was plenty of room in the Sequoia Lodge for us all, and the pushchair and travel cot still left space to walk around.
