dd will only want to see the princesses, namely cinderella and the castle so what exactly do i need to look at on the web site or where would be going?

The princesses come out at certain times by the castle. There are pleaces to wait for them, and they have the times written there too, as well as on the leaflets you pick up on way in (has map in to).

The princesses are in the parade too.

The castle is right in the middle of the park. When you walk through the main entrance, you will see it in front of you, at the bottom of the Main street. You can go under the castle at DLP to see the dragons. Not much inside the castle though, shops mainly.

buktus · 27/09/2006 13:58

the parade is good with all the of the princesses

LIZS · 27/09/2006 13:59

Lurk in the courtyard behind the castle and they appear every few hours at published times. dd desperately wants to go again but only to see the princesses, she doesn't like the other characters. Wondering about half term ...

Hello, sorry to hijack your thread but didn't know where to post this really...
Has anyone stayed in Hotel Cheyenne, and is it ok. I kind of assume that any Disney Hotel will at least be clean, and I am fine with basic as long as its clean.
We're hoping to go next year and this is our only outstanding question.
If its awful, which would you recommend?

hulababy · 27/09/2006 17:41

Sorry,, can't help with the hotel. We stayed as Davy Crocket and had a car with us. Accomodation was pretty baic, but it was clean and spacious and the place had a nice pool, a bar, play areas, characters and pony riding.

buktus · 27/09/2006 19:12

i have only stayed at seqouia lodge, it was very clean and has a loverly pool, it is a ten minute walk to the park i would really recommend it over the others i have heard the rooms are smaller and you dont get the pool there either, the restaurant in the sequoia is lovely also any more questions ask away

my sil just came back and instead of booking charachter brekkie, they went out to the resteaunt out the backs of thier hotel which was called micky's or something equally as obvious and they were all there..only thing is tho' even on resort, they change charachters every 1/2 hour so she could be queing up only to find snow white when she gets there

buktus · 27/09/2006 19:21

yes that is a good tip its called cafe mickey which is a nice restaurant, with seating inside and out and if its a nice day they go an sit with the people having their meal outside but if you stand near it you can see all the characters. I would recommend going to one of the character meals its really good my kids loved it and it meant you didnt have to queue up to see the characters you get about 6 different ones come and see you we prefered the lunch or tea there as the breakfasts are the same as you get in the disney hotels anyway which you have already paid for

hulababy · 28/09/2006 08:11

DD loved the character dining at cafe Mickeys. The food is standard fare - something and chips IIRR, and not cheap. And DD ate virtually nothing. But it didn't matter. It was worth it to see her face as she got time with each character. And when Mickey chose her to dance with him (they have a musical dance thing every 30 minutes or so) she was over the mood

fifiandtheflowertots · 28/09/2006 10:48

i stayed at the cheyanne last december, it was loveley. You can walk to the park which took about 10 minutes or the shuttle busues come every few minutes to take you.
Rooms were well decorated and spacious and the restaurant where they served breakfast was huge.
when we stayed there goofy and pluto were at the hotel in the mornings for photos etc..
would stay there again if i went back

Kitty74 · 28/09/2006 14:50

Thanks, that's a great help. I'm really excited. We're not telling dd until on the way as she gets too excited. I don't know how I will contain myself
