DISNEYLAND PARIS - TOO YOUNG FOR A 10 YEAR OLD BOY?

hulahoopsilove · 28/09/2014 16:47

DS will be 10 in Jan and we can get free travel on eurostar and feel we should do it now or never!

Is DLP to babyish now for a 10 year old boy?

Are there any big rides for older kids?

Yes there are some big rides and some that are smaller but still fun to go on even if not scary/adrenaline filled.

I love it there so would say yes go, but I know there are lots in MN who aren't so keen!

Nobody is too old for DL !

Agree with Floral ! No one is too old! I enjoyed it as much as my 7 year old.... !

DLP is not all princessy .

gosh no he'll love it. Tower of terror, Indiana Jones coaster, rock n rollercoaster, crush, stunt show, pirates of the carribean, space mountain... I took late teen boys with younger siblings and they had a great time. Never too old.

Nobody is too old for DL!

This!

Me (29), my sister (33) and DM (61) went together last year and had a fabulous time Grin We didn't even go on any of the bigger rides (DM doesn't like them and most were shut anyway as it was too icy) and still had great fun.

We're going back in a couple of weeks (this time with DF and my DNiece as well) and we're all very excited!

SlothBear · 28/09/2014 17:12

Ooh haunted mansion! My favourite. Big thunder mountain. It's a wonderful age to go.

AliceMum09 · 28/09/2014 20:27

I'd add the RC Racer ride in the Studios Park to SlothBear's list. And the Tower of Terror is just fab, loads of teenagers were on there when I was.

My DS was 8 when we were there in February this year, he really enjoyed it. I know he's a bit younger than the OP's son, but we're planning to go back when he's 11 (so that DD2, who was 1 when we went this year, will be able to remember the trip!) and I'm sure he won't complain. The only ride he wasn't tall enough for this time (he's quite tall for his age) was Indiana Jones, and it was closed when we were there anyway, so I'm sure he'll want to go on that.

CaisleanDraiochta · 28/09/2014 22:44

Indiana jones has a 140cm height restriction I think, so definitely a ride for bigger kids. Plus space mountain, thunder mountain, rock n rollercoaster, tower of Terror, Crush's Coaster and RC Racer are all 'thrill rides' a 10 year will probably love.
However Parc asterix is the place for the seriously big thrills (Goudrix, Oziris) and is also only 40 mins outside Paris.

I took my kids age 12, 10 and 4.5 last Xmas. They loved it, the older ones even more than the younger one. I hated it so age 42 is definitely too old, but 10 should be fine!

iseenodust · 20/10/2014 17:15

DS 10 would go back like a shot.
