National Trust near Newcastle

can anyone point me in the right direction please? we are looking for NT properties in the NE where there will be Easter activities on Sunday for 8, 6, 5, 3 year olds plus 4 adults...

They have a website btw. We usually got sometime over the holidays as there's lots for kids to do.

Have you been to Souter lighthouse? I really enjoyed it when I went there and there are activities for the kids plus if it's a nice day you're near the beach which has millions of beautiful pebbles.

mummysurfer, go here and put in Northeast in "area" in the top section and your start date at the bottom, plus however many days you need to cover, it will come up with all the activities there and each named site is a link to the property details (IYSWIM).

Alternatively, if the links don't work (as they didn't just now - timed out) this page has all the sites on alphabetically with addresses etc. (But that didn't work for me either just now - maybe too many people looking for things to do at Easter!)
