Ideas for October half term holiday

Any ideas for a late booking for October half term? Looking for something a bit different to a fly and flop. Thanks

how far, how many weeks and what is your budget like?

Seville or Granada? Fantastic cities, weather much warmer than here, short flights.

Rome or other European city break.

Happy to travel long haul (except Australia/New Zealand) - say max 15 hours and for up to 2 weeks. Budget isn't an issue - more a case of the right destination and will cut our cloth accordingly with hotels etc.
