Belize? has anyone been? any tips

Just trying to plan our next holiday and am drawn to Belize. 2 weeks with 3 older teens who love the outdoors. cant find anyone else who has been so if you have can you tell me about it? Thanks

I went to San Pedro island on family holiday when I was about 12 (mfmph-ty- munpf years ago), it was fabulous. Light aircraft trip to get there from mainland, beautiful beaches, no cars (golf cart transport), snorkling on reef/under pier, big game fishing (barracudas etc), horse riding on the beach.

Thing to be aware of: 1. Don't walk under palms at night (took us a while to realise the thuds were falling coconuts). 2. We took malaria tablets, so presume you will have to.
