So would you prefer Marrakech, Tenerife, Palma or Madrid? Will be mid October and we've been to all but with kids. Really fancy Marrakech but last time had chest infection at 7m pg plus in laws in tow. Maybe worth another go? Any other ideas please?? Dh normally away for work and I feel as though I'm with baby no.4 at least 28 hours a day so need to relax.

don't know any of those that well, but for any other ideas, I would say valencia. we went there on hol but it was a flying visit, and I would have loved to have visted w/o kids. so much to see!

Paris! or southwold would be my choice - wouldn't want to spend long travelling - its really been years for us - I am not sure I would leave the hotel much

I love Madrid wonderful city. I'm guessing you want some sun? If not what about New York.

Thanks everyone. We've booked Paris with kids for half term so that's out. I'd really agree with NY because I think it's the most fantastic place on the planet, but am keen to spend a shorter time in the air and longer enjoying dh's company - as long as he doesn't snore of course...

I vote Madrid then. Great parks to walk round, fabulous museum so amazing tapas bars and paella restaurants. Used to be cheap but that was pre-Euro days. Barcelona is horrendously expensive and far more touristy so to speak.
