Travelling to Thailand 17th October for two weeks.

Was planning on Bangkok for two days then down to krabi? Bit worried about the weather

Would live lovely beach, relaxed child friendly, happy to backpack and go off the beaten track

Any thoughts

The wet season for the west coast of Thailand should be over by October so you should get decent weather.

Krabi doesn't have great beaches, you would need to go to the islands off Krabi for that.

Personally, I prefer the islands further south of Krabi - quieter, less developed and slightly off the beaten track.

Check out Koh Kradan, Koh Muk which are off Pak Meng (near Trang)

We went to Krabi this year and didn't like it at all. Koh Samui is much nicer Smile
