We're taking Granny and ds next weekend.

I'd like to find a nice restaurant where ds will be welcome (well mannered 7 y.o.), and that serves proper food, or even just really good fish and chips.

And any recommendations for Sunday lunch would be welcome too.

TIA

Hmmm, other good eats are:

The Squirrel Pub on Bispham Road - does ace carveries for Sunday lunch
Definately the Cottage for Fish and Chips (is in Rick Steins book)
Indian - Lee Raj on Squires Gate Lane
Hot Air Balloon on Squires Gate Lane does nice range of food, plus has Wacky Warehouse right next door (hooray)
Chinese - Phoenix on Whitegate Drive
My mum (who is granny-aged) loves West Coast Rock cafe on Abingdon St, as they do a huge range of food, including whole racks of ribs for a couple of quid. And if you phone ahead and book, tell 'em it's your Gran's birthday and she'll get her meal free

Oh how could I forget the West Coast Rock Cafe??? I spent many a boozy night in there as a teenager watching live bands. The food in there is fab.
