When's best to book our summer holiday for next year?

Hi

We're very lucky as a family member owns an apartment, purely for family use, in a beautiful part of Spain. As such we've used that as a base for our family holidays over the last few summers (and lots before DC too!)

However I think we'd benefit more as a family from staying at a resort next year, complete with kids clubs & entertainment etc.

I'm just wondering when is the best time to book holidays like this? Are there better discounts to be had at certain times (book early now, wait until the new year etc.)

Usually we only have to book flights so it's not much of an issue.

Any recommendations would be welcome too.

DC will be 8 & 4, love swimming, beach activities etc.

TIA

if its in school holidays then I would get on and do it sooner rather than later. the real impact of goves changes to term time holidays is going to hit in 2015 and everywhere for those school holiday weeks will book up much much earlier. I also remember what a travel agent friend of mine told me. the last minute deals are the holidays left over that no one else wants so I always get in early.

We booked ours at the end of April - the day the summer 2015 holidays went on sale. Booking on this day we got a free child place for May half term and another for 2 weeks in August.

We go to the first choice holiday villages and they have wall to wall facilities, clubs and entertainment for the DC's. They have a ball and so we are happy too.
