Inspiration needed for 40th

DH turns 40 early February and I want to take him away without the children for 3/4 nights somewhere warm if possible. Due to length of break i think that rules out flights of longer than 4/5 hours. Would like a bit of luxury where we can relax and chill out, heated pool and ideally within a budget of about 1,000 - can anyone inspire me?

In February with a 4/5 hour flight, the only warm place I think you'll get to is the canaries. There are some luxury hotels in the canaries, but I'm not sure your budget will stretch with the flight cost.

Are you fixed on warmth? I think, in February, I'd either go for a city break or stay in the UK where you could afford a really nice hotel with heated pool such as Park House in Sussex, or somewhere michelin starred.

Dubai seems obvious but it is too expensive for your budget. What about Florida? Pushing the budget and distance, but warm . Definitely a city - Morocco maybe or Instanbul.
