Short haul in October

Looking to go abroad in October. Local airport has a choice of The Algarve, Lanzarote or Gran Canaria. We have a 1yr old and 3yr old.
We are used to long haul adventure but looking for a nice easy week with bits to do and reasonable weather.
Where would you choose and why? Happy to hire car not do package etc.

I would check average weather temps and choose the warmest, also get place with heated pool at that time of year

I would opt for Lanzarote or Gran Canaria as the weather is likely to be better.

I have not been to Gran Canaria, but Lanzarote is lovely.

Will have a look at Lanzarote then. Enjoy the research as much as the holiday!
