We are thinking of going next year in August but are worried about queues. When did you go and what were the queues like????

We have been twice and didn't find the queues too bad, especially compared to queues at LP and places like Alton Towers, Soem rides are worse than others. And some of the little ones rides have the worst queues, such as the Dumbo Ride and Peter Pan (up to 90 minutes without fast pass). But many we only waitied 10 minutes or so. The queues are not like here, especially for the bigger rides. They are airconditioned or have water fans. You get to look at things and see things too, and TBH sometimes the queues are a relief frm the heat!

DD was 2y4m the first time, and 4y2m this year...she never once complained about the queues

Thanks hulababy, we went before we had children that was in late September 1999! We are thinking whether to go in the school holidays or take her out of class, not really about saving money more about standing in queues!! Our ds will be just 3 next summer and dd 5.5.

Went in August the first time, and In June this year. No difference int he queues in our experience, as the American children were already on holiday in June too. They have a massive summer holiday!

Hi,
We are here now! Been to Magic Kingdom, MGM, Epcot and Animal Kingdom, only MGM was bearable, all other parks long long queues, yesterday at Epcot the fastpass for Soarin at 12pm was for 10pm that night! Lots of hot grumpy faces! But its still magic!

If it is possible to go outside of the 6 weeks holidays then i would go for it. I have been May, August, November and Xmas

Weatherwise August is the most humid and the rainiest. I think May and Oct/Nov would be good for the weather.

Hi,
We are still here, only three more days to go
The weather here for the last 14 days has been beautiful, lovely warm nights. We have just had the most fantastic night at the MK,we bought special tickets for Mickeys not so scary Halloween Party, absolutely brilliant, and with the park being in about 1/3rd full it meant we have walked onto all the rides, no long waits. Def worth booking a special event, lovely not to be pushing thru crowds and queueing! The parade and fireworks tonight were the best ever, as they say here, AWESOME!

hi, we went in late october. queues fine, esp compared to alton towers. lots of stuff to amuse you when queuing too and the fastpass thing is good too. weather also great then, still warm enough to swim etc and makes the queuing much more bearable. also, it tends to rain most afternoons in the summer, less of that then. i'd def go back at that time of year. it's great fun, def go, i'm already wondering when i can go next with dd (who's only 11 weeks )

No advice to give, other than to say we are going next August and we are all very very excited, managed to talk dp into letting us stop in the animal kingdom hotel for a few days as well.

We are going in September 07. If you are going in August, go in the last couple of weeks as the American kids are back to school and the queues aren't as big. It will be very hot though.

If you stay in universal studios accomadation portofino bay/hard rock cafe you get to jump the queues (or lines) at all the rides if you show your room key. The queues at disney are HORRENDOUS-buy the unofficial guide to disney and it'll show you how to plan your day to avoid queues. I've queued for 2 hours before only to be turned away when it rained.
