If you didn't choose your seats it says they will be "assigned randomly". I don't care where we sit in the plane but does it mean you're all spread out, even if you're booked with a child?

We flew in august and checked in online 7 days before our flights and we all got seated together. From what I could see the majority of people were sat together and there was no fuss at all

When you check in online you can choose seats & it's free. You can check in online 7 days before you fly so make sure to check in as early as you can to get seats together.

we checked in 7 days before too and were all together. Last week.
It's very civilised now

We flew in July and checked in for both the outward and return journeys exactly 7 days before the flight. We were seated together as a family of 4 on both flights.

We also checked in as early as we were allowed, and the random allocation neatly put us in a row both ways.

Great. Thank you! :)

Ditto everyone else, checked in 7 days before and allocated 4 seats in a row.
Also used the app, which stores your boarding passes, so didn't need to print boarding passes for return flight (we were away for 11 days so had to check in for return flight while we were away and would have had to find an Internet cafe to print out passes).
