Nice place to eat near thomas land

Hi, we are taking Ds to thomas land and staying overnight. Just after some recommendations of places to eat nearby with 2 toddlers? Thanks

Done it been there!:) avoid Frankie and Benny's in Tamworth, its vile. See tripadvisor if in doubt! We drove to Hopwas, 10 mins away from Thomasland, there are 2 lovely pubs on the canal, the Tame Otter is a gastro pub, we had a lovely meal there with the kids. Right opposite is the Red Lion with pubfood and a big garden playground. You cant go wrong with either. Tamworth has a huge retail park with a nice Pizza Express, M&S etc and a local eatery that does hogroasts that looked lovely but we never tried it. Have fun!!

I second avoiding Frankie and Benny's at Tamworth. There is the Dog and Doublet pub on the way back to the motorway. Children very welcome with a small play area in the garden.

We went to the closest pizza express - it was nice :-)
