Heading to Turkey in a couple of weeks with 4 month old baby. Any tips on what I need to take for him/me (apart from the obvious).

Make sure you have a thermometer and calpol. Also wipes and nappies are extortionate in Europe so take them if you have space. Other thing we found really useful was one of those UV hats that covers their necks. I got mine from Jojo mamam bebe and it was fab. Hope that helps. Have a fab time xx

Wipes and nappies are not expensive in Turkey, so don't bother taking too many. You can get Pampers, they are called Prima out there and they cost about the same as the UK but Turkish brands are just as good, I used to buy Molfix or Evy Baby.

Take baby sun cream, a hat and a UV swim suit. Are you breastfeeding or bottle feeding? If you are bottle feeding you may want to take powder with you as it is very expensive and you can't get all brands. Only use bottled water, Erilkli is best for babies if you have a choice.

Where are you going? I used to live in Turkey when my daughter was a baby so if I can help with anything else just ask :)

I'd say a mini-change bag. Makes it easy to do a quick nappy change anywhere and it can go in the bottom of the pushchair, or in a rucksack or in a beach bag depending on where you're going.

It can also be helpful to have a small portable flashing/glowing thing for if you need to distract baby in a dark quiet place, such as bedrooms and planes (especially if they won't be distracted by milk!). We had a sort of glowing colour changing wand and a friend of mine had a child's novelty pen which lit up and had bubbles in it (she called it The Magic).

The great thing about a 4 month old is that they actually don't need very much!
