We would like to go next summer during the school hols, either in 1 big property or 4 gites/caravans/lodges. there will be 18 of us in total.
We will fly so I dont want it to be hours from an airport.

The kids are all teens and love swimming, kayaking etc.
I would like to see the Pont Du Arc and be close to a river.

We dont mind staying on a keycamp/canvas hol type place.

Does anyone have any recommendations please?

We stayed at Les Ranchisses with Eurocamp this summer. The site itself is lovely - one of the nicest we have been to. It is about 30 min drive from Vallon Pont D'Arc. But there are much closer rivers for Kayaking also. The Pont D'Arc is stunning, but the closer you got to it, the busier it was. The market in Vallon is great. My dd is a huge fan of the tree climbing/Zip wire type stuff and we were spoilt for choice. Villages like Balazuc and Labeaume are absolutely stunning.

The downside at Les Ranchisses with Eurocamp is that the vans are dotted about. If you looked at the campsites own accommodation you would be able to get close together. Their TAOS mobiles are all in a little cul de sac with a grassy area in the middle for example. Another bonus we found is that the area is really cheap for eating out/wine etc especially when compared to places like the Dordogne and South of France. Wine about 1 euro a glass on the campsite for example. The onsite restaurant was very good.

Lyon or Nimes, I think.
