Gites in Provence

Can anyone recommend me a gîte for 6 people please - must have pool and be fairly private and peaceful.

Just come back from here. We stayed at the Flophouse which is huge but there's a smaller 6 person house next door. Not sure about your set-up, the smaller house has 2 bedrooms ground floor and 1 outside up some steps to the top floor. The Flop House has 5 bedrooms, 4 in the main house and 1 in an annexe with en suite bathroom.

The pool was a bit chilly but my DC of 12 and 10 loved it as well as the table tennis (not sure the smaller house has the latter). The pool is alarmed not fenced so wouldn't suit toddlers.

Fantastic views, a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive to Bedoin which has lots of restaurants.

There is a window from the top bedroom of the smaller house which overlooks the Flop House pool.

It's about 25 mins from Avignon and it's the third time we have been.

There are 3 gîtes on one side of the stream, and two on the other, it's very quiet.

The new owners have opened a small terrace on the other side of the stream so you can cross over the bridge and have a glass of fizz, or an ice cream. Three nights a week you can join them for dinner if you fancy it.

Masses of tiny villages around, L'isle sur la Sorgue is lovely. The village has a little shop, pâtissier etc. and a huge fruit and veg market every night from 6-7 that is amazing
