Hello,

Wonder if anyone has any good recommendations for child friendly hotel/apartments in Dusseldorf? We are going in December so want to be close to the old town and xmas markets. I've never gone abroad with baby before before so want to get accommodation stuff right. We are also taking my mom so would be nice to get some kind of family room or else she can just go in her own single room. If anyone has done this before, any advice or recommendations much appreciated. Thanks in advance...

No recommendations for hotels because we stayed at the Ibis at the main station, a bit of a walk from the old town, but be warned the markets in Dusseldorf are insanely busy, and we go to a different German city for the markets every year!

I can't think that wandering around an extremely busy Christmas market with a one year old is going to be much fun for your or your baby. It will also be extremely cold.

I have been to christmas markets in Duesseldorf, Cologne and Berlin. They are extremely busy, so you won't be able to push a pram. Take a sling and very warm clothes
